ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking to issue a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of respondent No.3 in selecting/appointing the 6th respondent, who is a non-local candidate to the post of Anganwadi Worker at Vegetable Market, ICDS Project, Kadiri West, despite the petitioner is a local married woman and fully eligible to the said post as per G.O.Ms.No.21, dated 24.08.2007 and consequently to set aside the same.

Heard Sri N.Gangadhar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Women and Child Welfare.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that though the petitioner is a locally married woman and fully eligible, ignoring her case, the 3rd respondent had appointed the 6th respondent as Anganwadi Worker.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that vide proceedings dated 26.07.2016, the 6th respondent was removed from service and hence, the cause in the writ petition does not survive for adjudication.

In view of removal of the 6th respondent as Anganwadi Worker vide proceedings dated 26.07.2016, nothing remains in the writ petition for adjudication.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is closed. However, the respondents can consider the case of the petitioner, if she is otherwise eligible to the said post. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
