O R D E R

The prayer of the petitioner in this case is as under: 'The Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of Respondent No. 3 to 5 in interfering with the petitioner cable network business and its day to day activities like supply of signals and making attempts to take away the head-end (equipment) in Godhavarikhani area of Karimnagar District under the teeth of report of 6th respondent is contrary with the provisions of the Cable Television Networks (Regulation) Act, 1995, the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India Act, 1997 and DAS Regulations, 2012, as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the Respondent No.

3 to 5 not to interfere with the cable network business of the petitioner company in any manner including supplying of signals to its Local Cable Operators (LCO) in Godhavarikhani Area, Karimnagar District and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the above circumstances of the case.' Written instructions dated 11.04.2016 were furnished by the SubInspector of Police, Godavarikhani Town Police Station, Karimnagar District, wherein he stated that no crime had been registered and no complaint had been lodged against the petitioner as on date.

He specifically stated that the sixth respondent had not lodged any complaint with the Godavarikhani Town Police Station authorities and therefore, the question of interference with the petitioner's cable network operations and day-to-day activities did not arise. He specifically asserted that the police authorities were not interfering with the petitioner's cable network business or making any attempts to take away the equipment belonging to the petitioner.

The aforestated stand of the police authorities is duly taken on record. In the light thereof, no adjudication is warranted on merits in this writ petition.

Sri N.Ravi Prasad, learned counsel for the petitioner, is agreeable to closure of the case recording the stand of the police authorities. The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed in the light of this final order. No order as to costs.
