THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAMALINGESWARA RAO WRIT PETITION No. 3595 of 2017 ORDER:

This writ petition was filed challenging the inaction of respondent Nos.1 to 3 in pressurising the petitioner to compromise the matter even during the pendency of F.I.R.Nos.5 and 6 of 2017 on the file of PS Rompicherla, Guntur District. A perusal of F.I.Rs. shows that they are of recent origin and investigation would take some time. However, the grievance of the petitioner is that instead of investigating the matter, the police are pressurising the petitioner to compromise the matter. The police cannot pressurise the complainants to compromise the matter and they are supposed to investigate the crime in accordance with law.

It is needless to observe that the police shall not harass the petitioner during the process of investigation and the investigation shall be conducted in accordance with law within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The petitioner shall cooperate with the investigation. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall also stand closed.
