CVNR,J & MSKJ,J WP.43981 of 2016 THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE C.V.NAGARJUNA REDDY & THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTI CE M.S.K.JAI SWAL WRI T PETI TI ON No.43981 of 2016 ORDER: (per Hon'ble Sri Justice C.V.Nagarjuna Reddy) This writ petition is filed for issue of Habeas Corpus by directing respondents Nos.3 and 4 to produce Uppala Lakshmi, daughter of the petitioner, in the court.

A detailed counter affidavit is filed by respondent No.4, wherein he inter alia stated that on 18.11.2016 at 8 p.m., the petitioner lodged a complaint stating that his elder daughter Uppala Lakshmi, studying intermediate 2nd year, left home on 11.11.2016 on the pretext that she was going to attend her friend's marriage function but did not return since then, that he searched for his daughter in their relatives houses and neighbouring villages, but she was not traced, and that when he enquired in the college and friends of his daughter, he has learnt that respondent No.5, a resident of Kondevaram village, Pithapuram Mandal, East Godavari District, took away his daughter.

That based on the aforementioned report, Cr.No.152/2016 was registered under the head "Girl Missing" on 18.11.2016 at 8 p.m. The counter affidavit narrated various steps taken by respondent No.4 in order to trace the missing girl as well as respondent No.5, and that in spite of these efforts, so far the missing girl could not be traced. Respondent No.4 further stated that strenuous efforts are being continued to trace the missing girl.

In the light of the various steps undertaken by respondent No.4 in order to trace the missing girl, we are convinced that the police are

CVNR,J & MSKJ,J WP.43981 of 2016 sparing no effort to trace the missing girl, it is not possible to grant any direction to respondents Nos.1 to 4 at this point of time. For the aforementioned reasons, the Writ Petition is dismissed. No order as to costs.
