THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITION No.3264 OF 2017 ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed for the following relief: "... (i) to declare the proceedings of the IG - Chief Security Commissioner, SCR issued vide No.BRE No.X/P/529/ASI PF dated 25.01.2017 as illegal, arbitrary, discriminatory, violative of principles of natural justice and contrary to the judgments of the Hon'ble Supreme Court and consequently to quash the same, (ii) to direct the 4th respondent, the Chief Personnel Officer, South Central Railway to implement the orders of the 1st respondent issued vide letter No.2016 - E.SET 1/25/8 dated 30.09.2016 (RBE No.117/2016) and not to order any promotions to the rank of ASIs/RPF pending disposal of the Contempt Petition C.No.314/2016 in SLP (C) No.4831/2012 in the Hon'ble Supreme Court, (iii) to direct the 1st respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 11.01.2017 and not to disturb/amend/revise the empanelment orders issued in the Force Order 91/2016 dated 29.08.2016 and (iv) to pass such other order or orders as the Hon'ble High Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case,"

When the matter is taken up for consideration, learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submits that a representation dated 11.01.2017 is made on behalf of the petitioners addressed to the Chief Security Commissioner, Railway Protection Force, Secunderabad, ventilating their grievance and the petitioners will be satisfied, if a direction is issued to the addressee to pass orders on the said representation.

Having regard to these submissions, without expressing any opinion on merits and without prejudice to the stand of the respondent - Railways, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 1st respondent to consider the claim made in the representation dated 11.01.2017 submitted by the petitioners and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law by assigning due reasons in support of his decision, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
