Learned Standing Counsel appearing for Central Government states that the writ petition is not maintainable in view of the Judgment rendered by the Supreme Court in L.Chandra Kumar v. Union of India (1997) 3 SCC 261. Learned counsel for the petitioners could not dispute the same.

In view of the same, the writ petition is dismissed granting liberty to the petitioner to approach the Central Administrative Tribunal. No order as to costs. As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
