Heard the learned counsel for petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue for respondents. 2.

This Writ Petition was filed challenging the Memo No.8684/UC.III-1/99-23, dated 05.01.2004, passed by the second respondent, whereunder the request of the petitioner for grant of exemption for the surplus land in plot No.4, situated at Industrial Area, Uppal, Hyderabad under Section 20(1)(a) of the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1976 (for short, the Act) was rejected.

3. Admittedly, the petitioner is in possession of the said land for which he is seeking exemption under Section 20(1)(a) of the Act. The Act was repealed and in view of the repeal, no further adjudication in the present Writ Petition is necessary and the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. No order as to costs. Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
