HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No. 18143 of 2016 ORDER:

The present writ petition came to be filed with the following prayer:

"Issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the second respondent in not issuing police license for running a business in the name and style of M/s. KNIKKS SNOOKER CLUB in the premises at Plot No.42 and 43, H.No.9-7, First Floor, Sri Vatsav Towers Commercial Complex, Ground Floor, Manasarover Heights, Phase-2 RTC Colony, Trimulgherry, Secunderabad, as illegal, arbitrary and contrary to the relevant provisions under the Hyderabad City Police Act r/w Cyberabad Metropolitan Act, 2004; and consequently direct the second respondent to issue police license to the petitioner to run the above club."

The Government Pleader for Home placed on record the instructions received from the office of Sub-Inspector of Police, Alwal Police Station, wherein it is mentioned that the Commissioner of Police, Cyberabad, after perusing the enquiry reports submitted by the Subordinate Officers, rejected the request of the petitioner for grant of police license vide Memo Rc.No.189/M1-Snooker-Cyb-2015, dated 02.11.2015. In view of the above, nothing survives for adjudication in the present writ petition and accordingly, the same is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to avail the remedies, if any, available under law. No order as to costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
