THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. RAMALINGESWARA RAO W.P.No.9557 of 2015 ORDER:
The petitioner claims to be the owner of agricultural land to an extent of Ac.8.09 cents in R.S.No.721/2B2 situated at Chennuru Village, Pedana Mandal, Krishna District. Since the said land was not fit for agricultural operations, the petitioner intends to convert the said land into a fishpond. The Government of A.P., issued G.O.Ms.No.7 dated 16.02.2013 simplifying the procedure to take up aqua as substitute for agriculture and framed guidelines. Accordingly, the petitioner submitted an application to the 3rd respondent for registration of new aquaculture farm and the District Level Committee granted provisional registration certificate on 8.07.2014. The petitioner, after complying with all the conditions of provisional registration, submitted application dated 30.07.2014 for final registration. As the said application has not been considered and disposed of so far, the present writ petition was filed.
Though time was granted on 9.04.2015 for filing counter, as on today no counter is filed by the respondents. In the facts and circumstances of the case, this writ petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the application dated 30.07.2014 submitted by the petitioner for final registration in respect of the land held by him, in accordance with law within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction the writ petition is disposed of. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
