O R D E R

This writ petition was filed assailing the action of the police authorities in interfering with the petitioners' civil dispute by harassing them with threats of criminal action.

The Circle Inspector of Police, Alampur, Mahabubnagar District, filed a counter-affidavit stating that the dispute of the petitioners was pending consideration before the Revenue authorities by way of a revision petition and was predominantly civil in nature. He therefore stated that the police authorities had nothing to do with it and as no complaint had been received or registered against the petitioners, the question of summoning them to the police station did not arise. He denied the allegation that the police authorities had ever interfered with the petitioners' civil dispute.

In the light of the categorical statement made by the Circle Inspector of Police, Alampur, Mahabubnagar District, in the above counter-affidavit, which remains unrebutted by the petitioners, this Court sees no reason to interfere in this matter. The stand of the police authorities is taken on record. The writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
