ORDER

Heard learned counsel for the petitioners, Sri Deepak Bhattacharjee, learned counsel for respondent No.1, learned Government Pleader for Higher Education(TG) for respondent No.2 and learned Government Pleader for Finance and Planning (TG) for respondent No.3.

2. The petitioners are working as Lab Attendants in the first respondent University and its constituent colleges. They seek relief for extension of Revised Pay Scales and rectification of Time Scales. The issue, which is the subject matter of the grievance of the petitioners, was already considered by this Court in W.P.No.21341 of 1999 dated 07.08.2009, by a learned Single Judge of this Court and the appeal in W.A.No.1343 of 2009 preferred against the said order was also dismissed on 18.01.2010. Hence, the petitioners seek similar benefit so far as they are concerned. They stated that they have already filed a written representation dated 03.12.2014, before the Registrar of the first respondent University and that since their cases were also covered by the aforesaid adjudication, they seek similar benefit.

3. However, keeping in view the factual aspects with regard to each of the petitioners and examining as to whether the decisions of this Court referred to above are applicable or not, in my view, it

is appropriate that the first respondent examines the petitioners' representation and takes an appropriate decision in the matter in the light of the legal decision obtaining on the said issue.

4. The Writ Petition is, therefore, disposed of, directing the first respondent to consider the aforesaid representation of the petitioners dated 03.02.2014, and pass appropriate orders thereon expeditiously, preferably, within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
