Mr. V.Murali Manohar, learned counsel represents Ms. V.Dyumani, learned counsel for the respondent No.3. This Court, by order dated 01.05.2024, had disposed of the writ petition filed by the petitioner with liberty to the petitioner to approach the Debts Recovery Appellate Tribunal (hereinafter referred to as 'the DRAT') within a period of eight weeks from the date of the order. The aforesaid period of eight weeks has come to an end on 30.06.2024. Thereafter, I.A.No.1 of 2024 was filed on 01.08.2024 seeking extension of time by ten weeks to file the appeal before the DRAT.
Fourteen weeks have already expired since the date of filing of the petition. Therefore, the relief claimed in the interlocutory application does not survive for consideration on account of efflux of time.
Accordingly, the interlocutory application is dismissed.
