THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.SEETHARAMA MURTI WRIT PETITION No.13342 OF 2018 ORDER:

In this writ petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the grievance of the writ petitioner is with regard to non-conducting of investigation into the case in Crime No.301 of 2017 registered, on 16.08.2017, by the Station House Officer, Kodad Town Police Station, Kodad for the offences punishable under Sections 420, 406, 409, 423, 468, 471 and 120(b) read with 34 I.P.C. against the 4th respondent and others despite lapse of more than about a year.

I have heard the submissions of Sri V.Brahmaiah Chowdary, learned counsel for the petitioner, and of the learned Government Pleader for Home (TG), appearing for the respondents 1 to 3. I have perused the material record.

At the hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that if a direction is given to expedite the investigation into the aforestated crime and file a final report/charge sheet within a time frame, the ends of justice would be met.

Learned Government Pleader for Home submits that the police officer concerned would expedite the investigation into the crime and file a final report, either way, by following the procedure established by law.

Recording the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Station House Officer, Kodad Town Police Station, Kodad/3rd respondent herein, to complete the investigation into

the aforestated crime, as expeditiously as possible, and file a final report, either way, by following the procedure established by law. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
