Heard. At the time when the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of the Court that Sri K.Srinivasamurthy is not appearing in the case, as he is no more Standing Counsel for the respondent. 2.
The present Writ Petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondent in not considering the representation dated 25.02.2010, made by the petitioner seeking appointment on compassionate grounds, in the event of death of his father, who died while in service on 01.02.2010, and subsequent representations dated 17.05.2010 and 14.08.2013, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised, limited request made by the petitioner is that the representation dated 25.02.2010, made by him seeking appointment on compassionate grounds, may be directed to be considered, in accordance with law.

Having regard to the above, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent to consider the application dated 25.02.2010, made by the petitioner, if not already considered, in accordance with law, at the earliest. No costs.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
