THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE M.S.RAMACHANDRA RAO CC.No.1148 of 2017 in WP.MP.No.21307 of 2017 in/and WP. No.17440 of 2017 COMMON ORDER:

Sri S.Lakshmikanth, Standing Counsel appearing for 3rd respondent has offered a sum of Rs.3,12,420/- vide cheque bearing No.202236 dt.31.07.2018 to the petitioner representing wages from 03.06.2017 to 17.05.2018 i.e., for the duration for which the petitioner had a contractual appointment with the respondent.

2.

Counsel for petitioner has received the said sum without prejudice to his contentions in the Contempt Case and Writ Petition.

3.

However, since the entire duration of the petitioner's engagement with the respondent is only up to 17.05.2018 and since the wages for this period have now been paid under the above cheque to the petitioner, the cause of action in the Writ Petition as well as in the Contempt Case no longer survives. 4.

Accordingly, both Writ Petition and Contempt Case, are closed. No order as to costs in both cases.

5.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand dismissed.
