ORDER

This writ petition is filed by petitioners seeking to declare the action of respondents 2 to 4 in opening and continuing the history sheets against them in the 4th respondent police station, as illegal and arbitrary.

It is stated in the affidavit that the history sheets were opened against the petitioners during Samaikya Andhra agitation and subsequently, C.C.No.65 of 2014 on the file of II Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Tanuku, registered against them, was closed by Lok Adalat vide award dated 18.10.2014. Later, the Government also issued G.O.Rt.No.1192 dated 24.10.2014 directing the police concerned for withdrawal of cases registered against the accused during Samaikya Andhra agitation. Now, the grievance of petitioners is that though there is no case pending against them, the police are continuing the history sheets against them instead of closing. Hence, the present writ petition.

Heard both sides and perused the material on record. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and in view of the fact that no case is pending against the petitioners, I deem it appropriate to direct respondents 2 to 4 to close the history sheets opened against the petitioners and not to call them to police station except in connection with any case registered against them.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
