HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A.RAJASHEKER REDDY WRIT PETITON No.13730 of 2018 ORDER:

The petitioner was suspended on 21-04-2005 while working as Junior Assistant on the ground that he was involved in a criminal case and he was reinstated into service on 13-08-2008. Meanwhile, the petitioner was acquitted of the said criminal case on 07-03-2013 and he made a representation for regularizing his period of suspension and releasing of amounts in terms of Rule 54-B of A.P. Fundamental Rules (F.R.Rules). The petitioner made several representations including last one on 12-10-2017. As no orders are passed, the present writ petition is filed.

Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Neeli Ashok Kumar, learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent. It is to be seen that the competent authority has to pass orders in terms of Rule 54-B of F.R.Rules.

In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on merits, the competent authority is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders and take action according to Rules within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. As a sequel to the disposal of this petition, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed.
