HONOURABLE JUSTICE G. SRI DEVI I.A.No.4 of 2019 In/and CRIMINAL PETITION No.4372 of 2019 ORDER:
1) The petitioners, who are accused Nos.1 to 3 in Crime No.621 of 2018 of Chandanagar Police Station, Cyberabad, filed this Criminal Petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to quash the proceedings in the above crime, which was registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A IPC and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.
2) During pendency of the Criminal Petition, I.A.No.4 of 2019 came to be filed by the second respondent to record the compromise. Along with the petition, a joint memo which is signed by the parties and their counsel came to be filed, inter alia stating that on 20.10.2019 the 2nd respondent lodged a report against the petitioners before Chandanagar Police Station. On 10.11.2018, both the husband and wife attended the counseling session at Sakhi Centre, Vanasthali Hills, AK Residency, Prashanth Nagar, Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad and have compromised the matter and decided to live together in order to lead happy marital life. The said joint memo has been supported by the affidavit of the second respondent.
3) Today, both the wife and husband are present before this Court and they were identified by their respective counsel. This Court, when examined, both the parties have stated that at the
instance of the elders, they have settled the matter and they are living together and the second respondent has no objection for quashing the proceedings against the petitioners. 4) In the light of the compromise arrived at between the parties, the compromise memo filed by both the parties is recorded and I.A.No.4 of 2019 is ordered.
5) Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed in terms of compromise and the proceedings in Crime No.621 of 2018 of Chandanagar Police Station, against the petitioners are hereby quashed.
