The grievance of the petitioner is that the Collector and District Magistrate, Medak District, Sangareddy, is not considering his application dated 03.04.2014 for

renewal of his arms licence. The petitioner submitted representation dated 15.09.2015 to the said authority, which is awaiting consideration. In that view of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of directing the Collector and District Magistrate, Medak District, the second respondent herein, to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.09.2015 and his renewal application dated 03.04.2014 and take appropriate action in the matter in accordance with law. In the event, the renewal application is rejected under Section 15 of the Arms Act, 1959, the authority shall pass a detailed order setting out the reasons for refusal. This exercise shall be completed expeditiously and in any event, not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall stand closed.
