THE HON'BLE Dr. JUSTICE D.NAGARJUN CRIMINAL PETITION No.5023 OF 2020 ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure by the petitioner-accused No.2 to quash the proceedings initiated against her in Crime No.358 of 2020 of Alwal Police Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate, registered for the offences under Sections 498-A, 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. 3.

Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing for respondent No.1-State has submitted that during pendency of this criminal petition, the Police concerned have completed the investigation and filed charge-sheet and the same was taken on file by the learned XXIII Additional Metropolitan Magistrate, Medchal, and numbered as C.C.No.1498 of 2020. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor has filed a letter dated 23.08.2021 addressed by the Sub-Inspector of Police, Alwal Police

Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate, to the Public Prosecutor of the High Court to substantiate the same. 4.

In view of the above submission, since entire investigation is completed and charge sheet is also filed, the very purpose of filing the criminal petition to quash Crime No.358 of 2020 of Alwal Police Station, Cyberabad Commissionerate, is defeated and thereby the Criminal Petition has become infructuous and liable to be dismissed.

Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed as infructuous. However, the petitioner is given liberty to challenge the charge sheet, if she so desire. Pending Miscellaneous Applications, if any, shall stand closed.
