Today, when the matter is taken up, it is submitted by the learned Government Pleader appearing for the Respondents that the request of the petitioner for renewal of licence has been rejected by the State Level Committee on 15.4.2017. The learned counsel for the petitioner requests the Court to permit the petitioner to assail the said order by way of filing appeal before the appellate authority.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader and taking into consideration the submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition with a liberty to the petitioner to avail alternative remedy of appeal by filing appeal against the order of rejection before the appellate authority within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of this order. It is also made clear that if no appeal is filed within the time stipulated, this order will not enure to the benefit of the petitioner. 3.
The writ petition is accordingly disposed of. As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
