In this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the request of the petitioner is to provide police protection at the time of conduct of survey of the land in an extent of Ac.30-18 guntas in Sy Nos.41, 42, 51, 53, 54, 222 and 223 situated at Rekurthy Village, Kothapally Mandal of Karimnagar District.

Heard learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Home (TS) appearing for the respondents 1 to 4. 3.
At the hearing, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petitioner made a request for survey of the above said lands to the Assistant Director, Survey & Land Records, Karimnagar; that he paid, the requisite fee for conduct of survey; that as Law & Order problems are likely to arise at the time of conduct of survey, the petitioner sought police protection; and, that as the said request was not acted upon, the present writ petition is filed.

Learned Government Pleader for Home, on oral instructions, would submit that the petitioner is not entitled to seek police protection for conduct of survey as no request for providing police protection has been forwarded to the police by the Government officer concerned. 5.
Having regard to the submissions, the Writ Petition is disposed of reserving liberty to the petitioner to submit a representation to the Assistant Director, Survey & Land Records, Karimnagar, to make a request to the police for providing police protection at the time of survey of the subject lands. There shall be no order as to costs.
