The petitioner complains against inaction in investigating First Information Report in Crime No.166 of 2013 and taking action as required by law, as illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional. The petitioner on 23.08.2013 filed a complaint before the 3rd respondent and the same was registered for the offence punishable under Section 381 IPC. The complaint refers to theft of a few gold ornaments from almirah in petitioner's house. The petitioner suspected one Razia Begum in the theft of gold ornaments.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the investigation into the First Information has been taken up and the crime is closed as undetected and respondents 2 and 3 will take steps to inform the outcome of the investigation within a period of three (03) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The statement is placed on record.

On receipt of such report from the respondents, if the petitioner is so advised, can pursue the remedies in accordance with law. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of.
