HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.15776 of 2019 ORDER:

With the consent of both the parties, this writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage.

This writ petition is filed seeking the following relief :- "..... to declare the inaction of the Respondents in appointing petitioner as Village Revenue Assistant (VRA), Donngaturhti Village, Dharmaram Mandal, Karimnagar District on compassionate grounds in place of his deceased grandmother who died on 09-01-2019 while she was in service, working as VRA Dongaturthi of Dharmaram Mandal, Karimnagar District, as illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional and contrary to the law and consequently direct the Respondents to appoint the petitioner has VRA Dongaturthi Village on compassionate grounds in the place of his deceased grandmother who died in service, in the interest of justice..........."

Heard Sri K.Ajay Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Services-II. It has been contended by the petitioner that his grandmother worked as Village Revenue Assistant (VRA) and she died on 09.01.2019 at the age of 59 years. Petitioner further contends that he is the adopted son of his grandmother under an unregistered adoption deed dated 12.04.2007. After death of his grandmother, petitioner submitted a representation on 25.02.2019 requesting the respondents to consider his case for appointment on compassionate grounds as VRA. But so far, the respondents

have not passed any orders either considering or rejecting the case of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 25.02.2019 and pass appropriate orders. Learned Government Pleader appearing for respondents contends that the case of the petitioner would be considered and appropriate orders would be passed on the representation submitted by the petitioner on 25.02.2019 in accordance with law.

This Court, having considered the rival submissions, is of the considered view that this writ petition can be disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on 25.02.2019 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. With the above observations, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed.
