THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE RAJA ELANGO WRIT PETITION No.42512 OF 2016 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking the following relief:- "to issue a writ or order or direction one particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of Respondents No.2 to 5 in not considering petitioners representation dated: 24-10-2016, for issuance of receipts; no objection certificates for Set-Top Boxes owned by customers and; not to harass the Local Cable Operators like petitioners from disconnecting the cable TV signals to them as being illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the respondents 2 to 5 to consider petitioners representation dated: 24-10-2016, and further direct respondents 2 to 5 to take action against 6th respondent by directing them to issue receipts; no objection certificates for Set-Top Boxes along with Conditional Access System and software and; not to disconnect cable TV signals within the area of Local Cable Operators operation and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." 2.

Heard and perused the material available on record. 3.

The main grievance of the petitioners is that though they made a representation to respondent No.2 on 24.10.2016, till date, no action is initiated and hence, prays to give a direction to respondent Nos.2 to 5 to consider the said representation. 4.

Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the grievance of the petitioners, without expressing any opinion on merits, respondent Nos.2 to 5 are hereby directed to consider the representation, dated 24.10.2016, of the petitioners and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as

possible, preferably, within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
