HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE CHALLA KODANDA RAM WRIT PETITION No.6058 OF 2015 O R D E R:

This writ petition is filed seeking a direction to the respondents to make correction in the revenue records.

The case of the petitioner is that on account of illiteracy his father in the revenue records his pet name has been mentioned as Lungari Raju instead of his name as appearing in the record as Lungari Sukh Jeevan. To support his claim, the petitioner had submitted Transfer Certificate (T.C.) and Aadhaar card issued by Government of India, Election Identity Card issued by the Election Commission of India and the caste certificate issued by Respondent No.3, the Tahsildar, Kothur Mandal. As such, the petitioner filed an application dated 12-04-2013 before the Respondent No.3 to correct his name in the Revenue Records vide bearing Patta No.0742 and Record of Rights and inspite of passing of two years. But the Respondent No.3 has not taken any measures to redress the grievance of the petitioner.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the Respondent No.3 is directed to consider the application of the petitioner and pass necessary orders within a period of eight (08) weeks from today after putting the petitioner on notice of the date of hearing before passing the orders.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. The miscellaneous petitions filed in this writ petition shall also stand disposed of.
