Husband of the 1st petitioner and father of the 2nd petitioner was earlier employed in the respondent - Company. Late Ismail died on 20.09.2012. In the service record of late Ismail, the particulars of his children were also noted. According to the petitioners, in the service record of late Ismail, the date of birth of the 2nd petitioner was wrongly recorded and because of the wrong entry of the date of birth, petitioners were made to suffer. 2.

The 1st petitioner submitted representation, dated 24.07.2014, before the Director (PA & W), the Singareni Collieries Company Limited, Kothagudem, Khammam District, the 2nd respondent, requesting him to carry out corrections in the service record of late Ismail and a reminder, dated 04.10.2016, was also submitted to that effect. Alleging inaction on the said representation, this Writ Petition is filed.

Since the petitioners have already ventilated their grievance in their representation, dated 24.07.2014, with regard to wrong entry of date of birth, more particularly the date of birth of the 2nd petitioner, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent, to examine the claim of the petitioners for correction of entry of date of birth in the service record of late Ismail and pass appropriate orders as warranted by law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioners. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
