BALAYOGI APPEAL SUIT Nos.1895 of 2003 and 477 of 2004 COMMON JUDGMENT: (Per VRS,J) Both these appeals arise out of the enhancement of compensation granted by the reference Court on a reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894. 2.
Heard the learned Advocate General (AP) appearing for the appellant.

The land of a large extent was acquired in a village known as 'Pakeertakya' of Visakhapatnam Taluk for the development of Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation. Several awards were passed in award Nos.8 of 1988, 10 of 1988, 13 of 1988, 14 of 1988 and 15 of 1988. The Land Acquisition Officer fixed the compensation at Rs.38,474/- per acre. The same was enhanced by the reference Court in a batch of cases to Rs.77,440/- per acre. 4.
In one set of cases in A.S.Nos. 411, 507, 536, 413, 426, and 2167 of 2004, a Division Bench of this Court, by a judgment, dated 30.04.2007, confirmed the enhancement to Rs.77,440/- per acre. Therefore, following the same, these appeals are dismissed.
