HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE DILIP B. BHOSALE AND THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE S.V. BHATT Writ Petition No.7111 of 2009 PC: (Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Dilip B. Bhosale) Heard Mr. K. Ashok Reddy, learned counsel holding for Mr. A.Ravinder, the Advocate on record for the petitioner, and the learned Government Pleader for the respondents. In the instant writ petition, the petitioner seeks directions to the respondent-authorities to maintain Zoological Parks in the State of Andhra Pradesh in accordance with the provisions of the Wild Life (Protection) Act, 1972 (for short 'the Act') and the rules framed thereunder. He further seeks direction to the respondent-authorities to ensure strict compliance of the said Act and the Rules. Respondents have filed counter affidavit/additional counter affidavit and have stated as to what precautions, as contemplated by the provisions of the Act and the Rules are taken and are being taken. We have perused the counter affidavit and also the additional counter affidavit.
We are also prima facie satisfied that the respondents have taken all the measures for protecting the wild animals in Zoological parks.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the counter affidavit and the additional counter affidavit satisfy the petitioner also.
In view thereof, we find no reason to keep this writ petition
pending further. The Writ petition is accordingly disposed of. While parting, we observe that respondents shall adhere to all the provisions of the Act and shall maintain the Zoological parks properly as stated by them in their counter affidavit and additional counter affidavit. We also record and accept all the statements made on affidavit by the respondents.
With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Consequently, pending miscellaneous applications shall also stand closed.
