THE HON'BLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE RAMESH RANGANATHAN AND THE HON'BLE SMT JUSTICE T.RAJANI Writ Appeal No.1044 of 2009 JUDGMENT: (Per the Hon'ble the Acting Chief Justice Ramesh Ranganathan) Sri P.Jagadish Chandra Prasad, learned counsel for the appellant, submits that since the dispute relates to the election of a Sarpanch in the year 2006 and, as the term of office of the elected Sarpanch expired in 2011, more than six years ago, the cause in the writ appeal does not survive necessitating any further adjudication by this Court. The Writ Appeal is, accordingly, dismissed as infructuous. Miscellaneous Petitions pending, if any, shall also stand dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
