ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed seeking the following relief: "to issue a writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring that the action of the respondents in not appointing the petitioner into suitable post on compassionate appointment under Bread Winner Scheme is bad, arbitrary, illegal, unjust and unreasonable and consequently direct the respondents to appoint the petitioner into any suitable post on compassionate grounds under breadwinner scheme in the respondent corporation forthwith and pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court deems fit and proper." Heard Sri P.Venkateshwer Rao, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Sri B.Mayur Reddy, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation. It is the case of the petitioner that while working as Conductor, her husband died on 04.06.2018. Hence, she submitted an application on 14.08.2018 to the respondentCorporation for providing appointment on compassionate grounds under 'Bread Winner Scheme'. But, so far, no orders have been passed thereon.
Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the respondent-Corporation be directed to consider the
representation of the petitioner dated 14.08.2018 and to pass appropriate orders thereon.
Learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent-Corporation submits that the respondents would consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation of the petitioner.
Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representation dated 14.8.2018 of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, pending, if any, shall stand closed.
