HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SURESH KUMAR KAIT AND HON'BLE DR.JUSTICE SHAMEEM AKTHER Writ Petition No.18993 of 2017 ORDER: (ORAL) (Per the Hon'ble Sri Justice Suresh Kumar Kait) Vide the present petition the petitioner has assailed part of order dated 25.4.2017, passed in O.A.No.1116 of 2017, whereby while dismissing O.A. filed by the petitioner, learned Tribunal directed the 1st respondent - Principal Secretary, Home Department, State of Andhra Pradesh to dispose of the revision petition filed by the petitioner on 15.3.2016 within two months from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

The grievance of the petitioner is that, the petitioner sought permission from the Tribunal to direct respondent No.2 - Director General, SPF, to dispose of the revision petition as expeditiously as possible, however, the learned Tribunal has directed the respondent No.1 to dispose of the revision petition.

We find force in the submission of the counsel for the petitioner that revision petition has to be decided by the Director General, SPF, but not by the Principal Secretary, Home Department, State of Andhra Pradesh.

Accordingly, we modify the order dated 25.4.2017, passed in O.A. No.1116 of 2017 to the extent the respondent No.2 shall dispose of the revision petition filed by the petitioner on 21.1.2017, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. 5.

In view of the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed.
