THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE SANJAY KUMAR WRIT PETITION NO.5495 OF 2016

O R D E R

The prayer of the petitioners in this case is as under: 'It is prayed that this Hon'ble Court may be pleased to issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ or direction declaring the action of the 4th respondent in calling petitioners to the Polavaram Police Station, West Godavari District and pressurizing the petitioners to inform about the whereabouts of Naresh as illegal, arbitrary and one without jurisdiction, and pass such other or further orders as the Hon'ble Court feels deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case.' Written instructions dated 14.03.2016 were furnished by the Station House Officer, Polavaram Police Station, West Godavari District, stating that one Mogalaturthu Veera Ragavulu lodged a complaint on 18.01.

2016 to the effect that one Korukonda Satya Naresh went missing and his whereabouts were not known. The complainant suspected that the petitioners herein were involved along with two others. Thereupon, the Polavaram police authorities registered Crime No.25 of 2016 and started investigation. During the course of investigation, the police authorities were stated to have collected the call data of the missing person as well as the suspects. However, when the suspects were called for the purpose of enquiry, they were found to be absconding and did not cooperate with the investigating officer. In the light of the aforestated instructions, Sri C.

Subodh, learned counsel for the petitioners, fairly stated that his clients would cooperate with the police authorities concerned in the investigation and the writ petition may be closed duly recording that the petitioners would approach the police authorities along with legal counsel so as to cooperate in the investigation.

The writ petition is accordingly closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
