Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. With the consent of the parties, the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.
The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to grant land admeasuring Acs.5.00 wet or Acs.10.00 dry to the petitioner, as per G.O.Ms.No.185, dated 11.03.1997.
By an order dated 25.04.2011, this Court, while ordering notice before admission returnable in six weeks, directed the 2nd respondent to take suitable action on the representation dated 21.03.2011 made by the petitioner for assigning suitable land in her favour, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of that order. It is stated that though the said order was passed on 25.04.2011, till date no orders are passed on the representation of the petitioner. Without going into the merits of the case and having regard to the circumstances stated above, the Writ Petition is disposed of, by directing the 2nd respondent to take action on the representation dated 21.03.2011 made by the petitioner seeking assignment of agricultural land in her favour, as per G.O.Ms.No.185 dated 11.03.1997, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order. There shall be no order as to costs.
Consequently, miscellaneous petitions pending if any in the writ petition shall stand closed.
