The case of the petitioner is that he has retired from service as Assistant Manager on attaining superannuation on 30-11-2017. It is stated that he came to know that the 3rd respondent has withheld his terminal benefits purportedly on an advice received through e-mail dated 30-11-2017 including encashment of EL, from the Head Office, Chennai. Petitioner states that no disciplinary proceedings are pending against him nor as he been issued with any notice before withholding the terminals benefits due and payable to him.

2. The grievance of the petitioner is that he made a representation dated 23-12-2017 in that behalf to the 4th respondent to release his terminal benefits, but no action has been taken till date. Hence, this writ petition. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned standing counsel for the respondents.

Inasmuch as the petitioner's grievance is only as to non-disposal of the representation dated 23-12-2017, suffice it direct the competent authority to dispose of the representation dated 23-12-2017 made by the petitioner, in accordance with law, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this case shall also stand disposed of. There shall no order as to costs.
