The writ petition is filed for the following relief: - "..... to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, to direct the respondents 2 and 3 to enhance the compensation of the petitioners, based on the representation of the petitioners, datred 18.12.2017 and 19.02.2018 respectively by taking into consideration of Sections 26 to 30 of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Re-Settlement Act, 2013, as well as to take Multiplier 2 mentioned in Schedule-I of the Act 30 of 2013, with interest and pass such other order or orders....."
Heard learned Counsel appearing for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. During the course of arguments, it is brought to the notice of this Court that the petitioners herein submitted representations on 18.12.2017 and 19.02.2018 disputing the amount of compensation awarded by the competent authority and no action has been taken till date on such representations. On the other hand, it is submitted by the learned Government Pleader that if any such representations are pending consideration before the third respondent, the same will be considered and proper action will be taken, strictly in accordance with law.
Recording the said submission, the Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the third respondent to verify and pass appropriate Orders on the representations, dated 18.12.2017 and 19.02.2018, said to have been filed by the petitioners, strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible..
