Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.

Petitioner contends that aggrieved by the decision of Tahsildar, Bandi Atmakur Mandal, Kurnool District, cancelling the patta granted in favour of the father of petitioner and issuing proceedings affecting the petitioner's interest, petitioner preferred appeal before the Revenue Divisional Officer, on 05.01.2011 and the same is yet to be disposed of.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that after filing of the said appeal several representations were also made and the Revenue Divisional Officer issued notice to conduct enquiry. But so far he has not conducted enquiry and has not finalized the issue on the appeal preferred by the petitioner.

If the Revenue Divisional Officer, is in receipt of the appeal preferred by the petitioner on 05.01.2011 and so far no decision is made as alleged, he is directed to consider the appeal on its merits after affording due opportunity to the opposite parties and to pass appropriate orders, as warranted by law. He shall complete the entire exercise within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.

With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
