ORDER:

This writ petition is filed seeking the following - "....to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other appropriate writ or writs, order or direction, declaring the action of the respondents in seizing the lorry bearing No. KA-07-6930 in favour of the first petitioner and 220 bags of paddy belonging to the petitioners No.2 and 3 on 21.04.2009 as illegal and arbitrary by consequently directing the respondents to forthwith release the above referred lorry in favour of first petitioner and the 220 bags of paddy in favour of the petitioners No.2 and 3 and pass...."

This court while admitting the writ petition on 30.04.2009 passed interim direction to the respondents to release the lorry bearing No.KA-07-6930 in favour of 1st petitioner on furnishing 3rd party immovable property security for the value of the goods seized to the satisfaction of 1st respondent. Likewise, the paddy of 220 bags seized shall be released in favour of petitioners 2 and 3 on furnishing 3rd party immovable property security for the value of the goods seized to the satisfaction of 1st respondent.

The relief, which has been sought in the main writ petition, has been granted by virtue of the interim order dated 30.04.2009. In view of the same, no further orders need to be passed in this writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition is closed. As a sequel, pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
