THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE ABHINAND KUMAR SHAVILI WRIT PETITION No.16180 of 2019 ORDER:

With the consent of both the counsel, this Writ Petition is being disposed of at the stage of admission.

The petitioners claim that though they have completed more than 10 years of service, the respondents are not regularizing their services in terms of the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Secretary, State of Karnataka and Others vs. Umadevi1.

Learned counsel for the petitioners contends that appropriate orders be passed in the writ petition directing the respondents to consider the cases of the petitioners and appropriate orders be passed in terms of the law laid down by Hon'ble Supreme Court in Umadevi's case (1 supra). Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents contends that let the petitioners submit a representation to the respondents, then the respondents would consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation submitted by the petitioners in terms of the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Umadevi's case (1 supra). In view of the above, the petitioners are directed to submit a representation to the respondents within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and upon such representation being made by the petitioners, the respondents 1 (2006) 4 SCC 1

shall consider and pass appropriate orders on the said representation for regularization of services in terms of the law laid down by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Umadevi's case (1 supra) and pass appropriate orders within eight weeks thereafter.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.

As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
