THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE P. NAVEEN RAO WRIT PETITOIN No.16226 of 2019 ORDER:

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the learned Government Pleader for Revenue.

2. Petitioners claim that they are the local Schedule Tribes of Scheduled area. The 1st petitioner claimed to be the absolute owner, possessor and enjoyer of land of an extent of Ac.0.16 gts., in Sy.No.62A, Ac.0.30 gts., in Sy.No.62AA, Acs.2.00 gts., in Sy.No.65E and Acs.3.10 gts., in Sy.No.63, totaling to an extent of Acs.6.16 gts., and the 2nd petitioner claimed to be the absolute owner, possessor and enjoyer of an extent of Ac.1.07 gts., in Sy.No.62A, Acs.2.00 gts., in Sy.No.65A and Acs.3.09 gts., in Sy.No.63, totaling to an extent of Acs.6.16 gts., situated in Mallaram Village, Dammapeta Mandal, Bhadradri Kothagudem District.

Petitioners submit that they made applications, in physical form, to mutate their names in the revenue records in the year 2018 and the said applications were acknowledged by the Tahsildar, Dammapet Mandal - 4th respondent but, so far, their names are not mutated in the revenue records, and that on account of inaction on the part of the 4th respondent in mutating their names, grave prejudice is caused to the petitioners. The copies of the applications made in Form VI-A in physical form are enclosed along with the acknowledgements from page Nos.12 to 17 to the writ petition paper book.

Since the applications in Form VI-A were already submitted by the petitioners, though in physical form, and the same were also acknowledged by the 4th respondent, the petitioners are directed to make payment of the required amount through online and obtain receipts from the online web portal and submit the receipts to the 4th respondent. Upon such submission, the 4th respondent, without insisting for submission of fresh applications, receive and process the same and take appropriate decision by following the due procedure under the Andhra Pradesh Record of Rights in Lands and Pattedar Passbooks Act, 1971 and Rules made thereunder, within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs.
