ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed seeking the following relief: "to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not appointing the petitioner on compassionate grounds in Education Department in view of death of her adoptive mother Challa Sujatha W/o Challa Rajaiah, who died on 14.09.2015 while in service as illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional and violative of Articles 14 and 16 of the Constitution of India and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case."

Heard Sri N.Hari Prasad, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for Services-I appearing for the respondents.

It is the case of the petitioner that she is adopted daughter of one Challa Sujatha, who was employed with the respondents as Office Subordinate and her adoptive mother died on 14.09.2015 while she was in service. When she approached the 3rd respondent-District Educational Officer seeking appointment on compassionate grounds, the 3rd

respondent asked her to produce the Legal Heir Certificate. Hence, the petitioner filed O.S.No.369 of 2016 on the file of the Principal Junior Civil Judge, Karimnagar, and the same was decreed vide order dated 30-10-2017, holding that she is the only legal heir of her adoptive mother viz., Challa Sujatha. Thereafter, she submitted a representation dated 21.07.2016 to the 2nd respondent-District Collector for providing employment on compassionate grounds. But, so far, no orders have been passed.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the 2nd respondent be directed to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 21.07.2016 submitted by the petitioner.

Learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submits that the 2nd respondent would consider and pass appropriate orders on the representation submitted by the petitioner.

Having considered the rival submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Writ Petition can be disposed of directing the 2nd respondent-District Collector, Karimnagar, to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 21.07.2016 submitted by the petitioner, in accordance

with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. Miscellaneous petitions, pending, if any, shall stand closed.
