The grievance of the petitioner is that his application dated 28.03.2017 for grant of weapon licence under the provisions of the Arms Act, 1959, is pending before the 2nd respondent and the same is not being disposed of, till date. Heard both sides.

Since it is stated that the application of the petitioner is pending before the 2nd respondent, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner dated 28.03.2017, seeking arms licence, in accordance with law and take action, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
