THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE A. ABHISHEK REDDY WRIT PETITION No.18922 of 2020 ORDER:

This writ petition is filed challenging the action of the respondent authorities in not granting exemption of the levy of motor vehicle tax in respect of the commercial vehicle(s) of the petitioner(s) for the relevant quarters on account of the non-usage of the vehicle(s) during the lockdown period due to Covid-19 pandemic which is prevalent not only in the entire State of Telangana but the entire country as well.

Similar issue fell for consideration before this Court in W.P. No. 13505 of 2020 and batch. This Court, by common order dated 02.11.2020 has disposed of the batch of writ petitions with certain observations and directions. Hence, this writ petition can also be disposed of in terms of the said common order. Therefore, following the common order dated 02.11.2020 in W.P. No. 13505 of 2020 and batch and for the reasons stated therein, this writ petition is disposed of.

Pending miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed. No order as to costs.
