Sri P.Durga Prasad, learned Standing Counsel for the respondentsAndhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (the Corporation, for short).

2. The petitioner is a conductor in the respondents-Corporation. While he was on duty in the bus on 30-4-2015, a check was exercised and on suspicion that the petitioner was under the influence of alcohol he was subjected to the test of breath analyser. According to the petitioner, the test showed negative result and in fact, he was not under the influence of alcohol. However, on the ground that the petitioner was under the influence of alcohol while on duty, he was suspended by the 3rd respondent-Depot Manager by order dated 30-4-2015.

Subsequently, a charge-sheet was filed. The petitioner also submitted explanation on 16-5-2015. Challenging the said suspension order, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

3. Under these circumstances, the respondents-Corporation is directed to conduct an enquiry into the allegations levelled against the petitioner and pass appropriate orders after affording opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner within 4 (four) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. The miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed. No costs.
