As there was no representation for the petitioners on 27.01.2017, the matter is directed to be listed today under the caption 'for dismissal'. In fact, on 27.01.2017 the learned counsel for respondent Nos.2 and 3 represented that the relief claimed in the writ petition has become infructuous in view of the lapse of time and no cause survives for adjudication in this writ petition. Despite listing the matter under the caption 'for dismissal', there is no representation for the petitioners today. In the result, the Writ Petition is dismissed for default. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
