ORDER
It is the case of the petitioner that herself and her parents are natives of Guntur. She completed her school education in Prakasam District and BBM Degree Course at Acharya Nagarjuna University, Guntur District, during the academic years 2009-2010 to 2011-2012. She applied for passport through a consultant in the year 2009. But the application was filled up with wrong particulars more particularly with regard to the District as "Medak" instead of "Guntur" and the name of petitioner's mother as "Kandimalla Kotesvvari" instead of "Kandimalla Koteswari". Thereafter, passport bearing No.H5023601 was issued to the petitioner on 24.08.2009. Consequent to the marriage, her surname was changed from "Kandimalla" to "Puttagunta". In the circumstances, she applied for issuance of passport afresh through online on 15.10.2016 and when her application was not considered, she filed the present writ petition.
This writ petition was filed on 2.11.2016 and since then, it is being adjourned and no counter-affidavit is filed by the respondents.
In the circumstances, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the 2nd respondent to consider the application of the petitioner for issuance of passport under tatkal quota submitted
through online on 15.10.2016 vide reference No.16-1008948291, in accordance with law, and issue the same within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. However, if there are any objections for issuance of the passport, the 2nd respondent shall communicate the reasons to the petitioner. No costs.
