Heard both sides. With the consent of both parties the writ petition is disposed of at the admission stage. 2.

The present writ petition came to be filed seeking issuance of writ of mandamus declaring the action of respondent Nos. 3 and 4 in threatening the petitioner to pay the amount and interfering with the civil disputes pending between the petitioner and unofficial respondent, as illegal and arbitrary.

Though various grounds are raised, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer seeking a direction to the respondent - police not to interfere with the civil disputes pending between the petitioner and unofficial respondent. 4.

Learned Government Pleader, on instructions, disputes the interference of police in the civil disputes. He further submits that any action taken against the parties would be in accordance with law. 5.

Without going into merits of the case and having regard to the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent - police not to interfere with the civil disputes pending between the petitioner and the unofficial respondent, except following due process of law. However, if the respondent - police intend to take any action against the parties, the same shall be in accordance with law. No costs.

Consequently, miscellaneous petitions, if any pending, shall stand closed.
