THE HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE C. PRAVEEN KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.20998 OF 2017 ORDER:

This Writ Petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, came to be filed seeking the following relief: " ... to declare the action of the Respondents in not giving permission to conduct a public meeting on 07.07.2017 at the premises opposite to the Nagarjuna University as 24th anniversary of Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi, duly considering the representations dated 25.04.2017 and 23.06.2017 as illegal, arbitrary, unjust, unreasonable and contrary to Article 14 of the Constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to conduct meeting on 07.07.2017 opposite to Nagarjuna University, Guntur District duly considering the representations of the petitioner dated 25.04.2017 and 23.06.

2017 in the interest of justice and to pass such other order or orders as this Hon'ble Court may deems fit and proper in the circumstances of the case." Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home. With their consent, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself. When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is brought to the notice of this Court, by the learned AGP, that vide letter dated 25.06.2017 certain objections were raised by the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, North Sub-Division, Guntur Urban, for granting permission for conducting public meeting on 07.07.2017. At this stage, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the objections raised in the letter dated 25.06.2017 were complied with.

Having regard to the above, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the authorities to consider the reply given by the petitioner to the objections raised by them and pass necessary orders thereon forthwith, in accordance with law.
