The grievance of the petitioner in this case was that the

respondent Corporation was not considering her case for promotion on the ground that the enquiry into her social status was still pending. By order dated 13.07.2005, this Court directed the respondent Corporation to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion and other benefits treating her as an 'OC' candidate till her status was decided by the District Collector.

Sri Sreenarayana, learned counsel representing Sri M. Ravindranath Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner, states that pursuant to the above interim order, the petitioner was promoted as an Assistant Manager in the respondent Corporation and thereafter retired from service in the year 2012. He further states that the enquiry into the social status of the petitioner before the District Collector, Visakhapatnam, culminated in an adverse order which was appealed against by the petitioner and the said appeal is still pending consideration.

Sri AKA Venkata Ramana, learned counsel for the respondent Corporation, informed this Court that under Office Order No.154/2005 dated 02.09.2005, the respondent Corporation made it clear that the continuance of the petitioner in the post of Assistant Manager would be subject to her being declared as belonging to ST community. As this issue is yet to attain final conclusion owing to the pending appeal before the Government, no orders can be passed by this Court in the present writ petition touching upon the same. Leaving the said issue open and reserving liberty to the petitioner to raise any grievance which may arise in future in connection therewith, the writ petition is closed. Pending miscellaneous petitions, if any, shall also stand closed. No order as to costs.
