Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Government Pleader for Revenue appearing for the respondents. 2.

The petitioners filed File No.B/740/1999 dated 15.06.1999 in the name of the third parties in the pahanies of the year 19992000. The petitioners filed application dated 19.11.2017 under RTI Act to respondents 3 and 4 for providing relevant revenue records. Alleging inaction of the second respondent in disposing of the appeal filed by the petitioner in ROR appeal No.70 of 2017 and pending appeal efforts are made to secure digital passbooks by unofficial respondents, this Writ Petition is filed. 3.

Material on record would disclose that on receipt of notice, the respondent before the appellate authority also filed objections. Thereafter, the issue is not finalised.

Since the appeal is pending before the District Collector, without expressing any opinion on merits, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the District Collector to consider the appeal by giving due opportunity to the respective parties and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within ten (10) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The District Collector is also directed to consider the stay application filed by the petitioners by affording opportunity to the parties and pass orders as warranted by law within a period of two (2) weeks from
